Positive Economic Outlook Helps Rocklin Maintain High Credit Rating
Fitch, a national credit rating company, recently affirmed a credit rating of AA- for the City of Rocklin and a rating of A- for the Rocklin Redevelopment Agency. The continued excellent credit rating is a reflection of the City's fiscal management practices and of the quality of the Rocklin community.

A major factor in the bond rating was the economic impact of the newly completed Sierra College Blvd/I-80 Interchange. This interchange, along with the widening of Sierra College Blvd., (currently under construction from Taylor Road to Rocklin Road), creates a positive outlook for commercial development on several individual vacant parcels, totaling more than 200 acres in the vicinity of the interchange. The Sierra College Blvd./I-80 Interchange is the last available built urban interchange along the I-80 corridor, from Auburn to the Natomas area in Sacramento.

Although the current economy has been slow, all four quadrants of this interchange have development projects in the planning stage that will place them ahead of the curve when the region's economy and development activity rebound in earnest.
