Self-Defense/Fencing

Fencing Instruction
Classes range from beginning level to competition level. New students must take Intro to Foil Fencing, a one-time class which orients students to fencing techniques and etiquette. Beginners will learn how to hold the sword, positioning, footwork and terminology. Intermediate fencers will develop strategies and advanced skill techniques. Wear athletic shoes. No shorts allowed. Equipment is provided.

Karate
Students learn martial arts for self-defense, recreation and/or competition. Building respect and self-esteem through kick punches, throws, karate, gymnastics, and katas are also taught. Options:students may purchase gi’s from instructor ($25+), test for higher belt level ($30), and compete in AAU tournaments. ADULTS WELCOME.
