| How do you perceive our community? Do you really know how your local property and sales tax dollars are being spent? Do you know the services we provide? Do you understand your role in making your lives better? The Rocklin Citizens Academy is a FREE, multi-week community education program for the civic-minded among us. The Rocklin Citizens Academy seeks to engage people to learn the ins and outs of Rocklin City government via a course offering. Participants will be introduced to a variety of different city departments and programs where they will be able to ask questions and discuss issues that are important to them directly. The Citizens Academy will introduce and explain the roles and operations of a number of major departments within the city and will give participants an opportunity to learn more about what it takes to run and care for a city of Rocklin’s size. The City of Rocklin will be hosting another Citizens Academy in the fall 2012 in the City Council Chambers, and sessions will be held each Thursday at 6 PM from 1.5 hours to 2 hours. If you are interested in participating in the Citizens Academy, please complete an application form.
