On behalf of the City Council and myself, welcome to the City of Rocklin and its award winning website.
Recently named one of the top ten places in the country to raise a family by Family Circle Magazine, Rocklin is conveniently located in South Placer County at the intersection of Interstate 80 and State Highway 65.
Incorporated in 1893, Rocklin has grown into a modern progressive city of nearly 55,000 residents who also value their history. Rocklin has one of the highest rated school districts in the Sacramento region, with two state-of-the-art high schools. Rocklin is also home to Sierra College and William Jessup University.
A wide variety of businesses are located in Rocklin, with more in the planning stage. From home furnishings to exotic automobiles, you can find it in Rocklin.
With 30 parks and a full schedule of recreational programs for all ages, Rocklin is an active community. Two golf courses, one public and one a private club, are located in Rocklin.
There are housing opportunities for all age groups and all incomes, from first-time home buyers to active seniors and to those who want large custom homes on a golf course. There is also a variety of rental and lease opportunities, from apartments and condos, to custom homes.
Our Police and Fire Departments are rated among the best. Rocklin has one of the lowest crime rates in the region, and our Fire Department has the latest equipment and response times are low.
I invite you to visit us and get to know Rocklin, whether it is just for a visit or if you are looking for a place to live. I think you will find Rocklin to be an exceptional community. Feel free to contact our staff if you have questions about our community.
Sincerely,

George Magnuson, Former Mayor
